The Presidency has summoned the minister of women affairs, Aisha Alhassan, to Aso Rock a day after her reported endorsement of Atiku Abubakar for president in 2019 became public.

According to the Sun, the summon may be connected to her comments on Wednesday, September 6, where she reportedly said even if President Buhari decides to re-contest in 2019, she would still support Atiku.

FAYOSE REACTS TO RECESSION CLAIMS

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti has responded to statement claiming that Nigeria has come of recession describing the verity as inaccurate. In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, on Wednesday, September 6, the Ekiti governor claimed the statistics upon which the claim was based is meaningless to Nigerians.

Fashola clashes with Tinubu over elections

Sources indicate that there is a clash between the incumbent power in Lagos, Governor Babatude Fashola, and the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu over gubernatorial elections. The latter was angry with the Governor before and during the just concluded APC gubernatorial primaries in the states.

9ice clears the air concerning his political ambition

The Nigerian artist, popularly known as 9ice has come to counter reports that states about him crashing out of the race during the recent APC primaries. Citing from the reports earlier raids, Another celebrity-entertainer who lost out, after being widely considered as ‘the chose one’ is Abolore Akande, aka, 9ice. He vied for the ticket to represent Ogbomosho North/South/Orire Federal Constituency of Oyo State under the platform of APC. It was still not yet clear what really went wrong as at press time.

No consensus candidate in APC, says Atiku

Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, former Vice President has disclosed that there would be no consensus presidential candidate for the party which Nigerians knows to be the major opposition, All Progressive Congress, APC. Aiku, who is a Presidential aspirant of the APC, made the statement in Akure, the capital of Ondo State after holding several meetings with delegates and party leaders in the state as part of hismobilization drive.

Fashola to re-register for Voter's card, INEC

The Independent Electoral Commission has shockingly told the Lagos state governor and others to re-register if they want to have a permanent votercard. INEC on Friday failed to distribute Permanent Voter Cards at the Ward G3, State Junior Secondary School, the polling unit where the State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, and his wife, Abimbola, registered.

Fashola writes to Jonathan

Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Governor of Lagos has written to the President of the federation, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan over the subsidy reinvestment funds program and Federal Road Maintenance Agency. On 27 November 2014, Thursday, at the Eight Town Hall meeting on security which was held at the City Hall, Lagos around the island axis of the state. While addressing the participants comprising police officers, businessmen and others, with the program themed “Maintaining our collective resolve in fighting crime”.


63 senators in impeachment train against Jonathan

As at November 27, which was yesterday, a total number of sixty three senators are joining the train ofthe impeachment plan against the current President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan. According to sources, out of 109 members of the house, 63 are in with 8 membersof the ruling party, People's Democratic Party.

NLC warns FG over Tambuwal

Sound of warning has been expressed by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC over Aminu Tambuwal, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, to the Federal Government and security operatives. They insisted that noting should happen to him, it was an issued statement from the NLC president, Abdulwahid Omar.
A copy of this statement by the president was obtained from the Premium Times. He reacted to the withdrawal of Tambuwal’s security details that it was shameful, distasteful, and unconstitutional. This withdrawal was initiated due to his defection from the ruling party PDP tp the opposition party APC.

Ex-Minister challenges Amaechi

Governor Rotimi Amaechi, the Governor of Rivers State has received a serious challenged from an ex-minister. Nyesom Wike, former Minister of State for Education has made it known to the Governor to arrive away for a live debate on his claim that the present government under the leadership of Jonathan, has not done anything for Rivers.

The Governor claimed that the present Jonathan’s administration has not made out anything for rivers state, that the state has been answering it. The Ex-minister reacted to the claims that Amaechi gave him a contract worth N4bn and wasn’t executed, by saying “If he fed me a contract, and I did not do it, why did he wait till today? There is no truth in the claim, and I challenge him to any arena to add up and support his claims with facts and figures”
People’s Democratic Party, PDP, leadership in the state has employed the minister who is an aspirant under the party to force on how the party will gain ground in the upcoming elections, with a disclosed of Amaechi as the party’s enemy.

Crisis left one dead and others injured in Ogun

A rampage of clashes came up yesterday in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, which forced an intervention of the Police force, arresting some and leaving one dead. Eyewitness adheres of the fact that it all got slack when the present governor Ibikunle Amosun, was on an assessment tour of the neighborhood.

Confab ended in the month of August and since then till now the members of the House of Representatives, has disclosed that they haven’t seen the reports from the conference. This indication was made known by the Mr. Zakari Mohammed, the House spokesman. It was gathered by reporters that members were in possession of the compressed copy and were still in the reading process.
