TALENTS DBP (Discovering, Building, Professionalizing in-built Talents)
I can consider the ignorance of in-built talents to an Aardvark, which is there and not recognized. The verity of this statement may have taken you a-backed, but that is the truth. Talent is an important ingredient of youth development has been considered as if when someone is babbling about something. When you run-down this article, you will see reasons why you need to take hold of talent as a youth. What is Talent?
According to the Dictionary, Talent is simply someone who has a natural ability to be good at something, especially without been taught. However, as a person you have this phenomenon, the default is how to discover and make good use of it.
HOW TO DISCOVER TALENTS
This article’s subject matter is divided into three categories, but we will have to start our discussion on the primary factor of talent (i.e. how to discover this embedded talent). However, a youth need to know how to discover his/her talent because you can only work on what you know. The following steps will help you to discover it.
- Learn to realize those things you do when you are not conscious of them. You may say “what do I mean?” There are some things you do, and you take unimportant. You don’t put them into consideration, but you love doing them (i.e. you have the passion for them).
- The next step to take is to discover the real one. Remember, Gold how precious it is, it is found in a mix-up of different peripherals. In same sense, this talent is in a mix-up; all you do is be sensitive enough to the one you do always and love to do often. This might be the talent you are looking for. For instance, when you love to sing almost every time, it becomes your habit. This might be the talent you are looking for.

Principles To Getting You More Creative
Creativity, like any other skill, can be nourished. It's important to remember, though, that it takes time and dedication to tap into your inner wellspring of natural creative ability.
With that in mind, here are nine spiritual tips that help you tap into your highest creative self, and tune out negativity and distractions – no matter what your creative endeavor is.
1. Know that ego will only take you so far.
If your art is only about you all the time, you need to think bigger. Your art is in service to something much larger than yourself. Even if you achieve fame through your creativity, you should never forget that your achievements are fickle, and due to the work of a support team around you.
2. Use your voice to speak to the truth – not only for yourself but for others who are voiceless.
Bring the pain of the world into your art, keep reminding the world to hold the suffering of others in its gaze. Use your voice as a prayer.
3. Watch less TV (and read more books).
TV is the ultimate state of distraction and doesn't help you connectin with yourself. You can get lost in other people’s (imaginary) lives. Many people waste a lot of time watching rubbish. Use your time as if it were running out (it is).
4. Do not read negative reviews, and do not write negative reviews.
Support other artists in their endeavors. Disengage from gossip. Don’t compare yourself to people on Facebook. Don’t write anything hateful or hurtful on Twitter or Facebook. Use your words to help people reach the light.
5. Be clear about what you want from life.
The universe cannot respond to vague intention. If you want to become an author, a screenwriter, an opera singer, an actor, have conviction. Trust your vision for your life.
6. Honor what is sacred, and that includes your longing to write or create.
A ritualized life helps you create meaning in a challenging world in which you struggle to be brave. Even just blessing food, or dedicating your yoga practice to someone who is ill, or silently thanking the universe for its benevolence brings you into alignment with a deep dignity in our lives about what it means to be human.
7. Talk less, listen more.
To create , you have to become a good listener – to the world around you, and to yourself. Listening is a skill. You have to be silent in order to listen. We have to be open and receptive, and free of judgements. These are all great practices in themselves.
8. Share your knowledge and teach others who need to know what you already know.
Don’t live from a place of constriction. Share with abundance. Give away your best information, spread it like love.
9. Keep learning your craft.
Never imagine you’ve "made it" or you have nothing new to figure out. Deepen your creative practice. Become more curious about it and your relationship with your voice. Humility helps us begin again and again, each time with wider eyes, deeper ears and more compassionate touch.

FACTS: EVERY GUY SHOULD KNOW THIS ABOUT GIRLS
Leggo...
1.Whatever you do, don't just show up at their house...they run around in their underwear just like we do.
2. Don't cheat on them. It may seem foolproof, but girls tell each other everything about everything. Trust me, they WILL find out.
3. Beware of every single male relative and all guy friends. Any of them would kick your ass at the drop of a hat, and a lot of them wouldn't even wait for the damn hat.
4. Never miss an opportunity to tell them they're beautiful.
5. Don't refuse to kiss in front of your friends. If they laugh at you, it's because they're jealous.
6. If they slap you hard, you deserved it.
7. Don't be afraid to touch them if you want to. If they're going out with you in the first place, it's because they like being in your arms.
8. If you don't sleep with them, do not tell your friends that you did.
8.5 If you DO sleep with them, don't tell your friends that you did. (very important).
9. You can be dirty minded in private, really...most of them are not offended by it...
10. Not all of them eat like birds, a lot of them can eat like whales.
11. Most of them don't mind paying half of everything, but they do discuss these things with their friends. Realize that if you make your girlfriend pay half all the time, everyone will know about it and your friends will know you're a honeypot.
11.5. Do you honestly need all your money that much? Be a man, pay all the time!
12. Every girl should eventually get three things from her boyfriend- a very precious gift, one of his sweatshirts, and a really pretty ring. Even if it's not a serious relationship.
13. Make sure she gets home safely as often as you can. If you're dropping her off, walk her to the door. If you aren't dropping her off, call to be sure she's home safely.
14. If a guy is bothering her, it is your right to kick the s**t out of him.
15. If you're talking to a female friend of yours, pull your girlfriend closer.
16. Never, ever slap her, even if it's just in a joking way. Even if she swats you first, and says, "Oh, you're so dumb" or something, never make any gestures back.
17. Go to a chick flick once in a while. She doesn't care whether you enjoy it or not, it just matters that you went.
18. You're dead meat if you can't get along with their pets, parents and best friends. Be prince charming to their friends, Mr. Polite to their parents, and make sure to be nice to their animals.
19. Don't flirt with their moms...that's just freaky.
20. Don't be freaked out when they fart. It's not gross, and it really does make them feel like s**t, so be understanding.
21. If you don't like the way they drive, you do it.
22. If you're officially dating, and you're introducing her to your friends, you'd better damn well introduce her as your girlfriend.
23. Don't stress where you go for every date. They really only want to be with you.
24. If they complain that something hurts, rub it for them without being asked.
25. Girls are fragile. Even if you're play fighting/wrestling, be very gentle.
26. Memorize their god damned birthdays. You forget her birthday and you're basically screwed for life.
27. Don't marinade the cologne, but smell good.
28. Don't give her something stupid for her birthday or Christmas or Valentine's day. It doesn't have to be expensive, but it has to be meaningful.
29. If you think the relationship isn't going to last, don't wait to find out. It will only hurt you more if you draw it out.
30. After you've been dating for a while, realize that they really have started to trust you. When you have a girlfriend who truly trusts you, you have a lot more responsibility, privilege and control than you would think. Be careful with it, most guys would kill for that kind of power, and it can be lost in a nanosecond.......so be careful!

COMPUTER AGE AND ISOLATION
“Welcome to the 5th generation of computer”, the world says. Computer has affected almost all the professions of life; in an abridge form; I want to classify this generation as ‘computer age’. However, according to Macmillan English Dictionary, the term ‘isolation’ is defined as the state of being separated from other people.
The rampage nature of this age come with some effects which has affected people (it’s Users) especially the youths in different ways. People have been able to eke-out a living from this age which is an instance of its merit to this present generation. Isolation, one of what this age has brought, is spreading like virus on people and to the youths in particular. The former contains both merits and demerits effects on its Users. But I tell it to you today, that the demerits have over-shadowed the merits. I believe you are thinking towards that direction now. For instance, a campus girl in possession of a Blackberry phone, with internet services has the entire world on her palms. She connects to any one in any part of the globe with her phone. Let me break it down, do you know the reigning social networking sites on the net today? Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, 2go to mention but a few of these sites; She surfs through these sites regularly with her phone connecting to people electronically. When she is in her hostel, she relates with only her phone and ignores all other beings around her. Isolation in this context is rejuvenated, and anything she can gain from her environs is lost, because her attention is unshared with her phone. An adage says ‘is what you hear, that you act on’. In other words, vital information may be shared around her, but since she is not inclined to her environs at that instant, those information are not decoded. Hereby, making her arsenal of knowledge about her environs (i.e. campus) not fully equipped. More-so, this same girl goes to the Lecture Hall for lectures with her beloved phone. While listening to lectures, she is on Facebook chatting with her E-friends at the expense of the lecture. She tends to isolate herself from the hall, even though she is right there in the hall. Most campus youths are fond of this destructive habit on campus of today. The Lecturer tends to talk to deaf ears, wasting time trying to get students to understand what he is disseminating.
Addiction is a bad disease, most people tends to consider the verity of this statement, when we talk of drugs, smoking and so on.
But they forgot that addiction to these social networking sites is also a syndrome that should be addressed, before it eats up our youths on campus. Isolating yourself in a lecture hall equates you with someone who is absent from class that day. Most youths are engrossed with these social networking sites to an extent that they use 11-hours out of 12-hours a day to browse. And some hours at night at the expense of good rest, in order to relax their working memory. “I’m already a victim, how can I get out of this mess?”; “stop me from getting addicted”; these and many more questions are running down someone’s mind now. However, let me assure you that there are way-outs, and you can choose the one that suits you. These way-outs will be discussed properly in the next edition of the YOUTH FOCUS. You out there, may also have the requisites to this syndrome that is eating up our youths on campus today. All you have to do is to send your comments to our EMAIL ADDRESS or our FACEBOOK FAN PAGE. Remember it is not a bad idea to surf through these social networking sites, but addiction to it is the bad idea. Reduce your addiction to the net!!!

impact of video impact of video games on your generation
THE IMPACT OF VIDEO GAMES ON THIS GENERATION BY DANIEL RAPHAEL
Let's face it; most people of this new generation will grow on video games as I did. Video games have become the new normal in media as television and movies were in the past, and the video game industry will continue to rake in the profits.
Many parents seem horrified by video games for a number of reasons, but they fail to recognize that there are some positives from the games as well. For example, video games encourage problem solving skills and logical reasoning, which in fact allows children to solve puzzles creatively, both literally and figuratively. Video games have been shown to increase hand-eye coordination and motor skills, and even have been shown to improve quick thinking.
According to researchers at the University of Rochester, games simulating stressful events are a useful tool for real world situations, and allow the brain to make quick decisions, something necessary for a child's development. One of the benefits of video games that seem to be rarely talked about is aiding in learning how to type. Video games provide an incentive structure for typing, as better typing ability allows greater performance in the games. Not only this, but it allows for greater reading comprehension and inductive reasoning through these means.
Knowing this then what are the harms of video games? It seems like the cons of video games are more prevalent in the mainstream press, as typically the audience is geared toward an older segment of the population. That being said there are certainly harms, as a report by the Surgeon General stated that video games can make children more fearful and less sensitive to pain. Does that mean that children are at a far higher risk of being violent if they play video games? Well no, as the violent juvenile crime rate in the U.S. has decreased as video game sales have gone up. The arrest rate for juvenile murders has fallen from 71.9 percent between 1995 and 2008 to 49.3 percent, and during this time period video games sales increased tremendously. Despite that it is quite possible that children will not have the same type of social development if they spend a large amount of their time playing video games which can be concerning. Video games, in fact, decrease violence, but there are still concerning factors within video games such as decreased attention, lack of physical activity among others.
So what should one's relation to video games be in this ever changing world? To have an absolute response in either direction is detrimental to a child's well-being. Parents should encourage their children to partake in physical activity of course and focus more on education than video games however video games can become part of this. There are many educational video games and games that encourage physical activity and to slowly ease a child into this only serves to benefit them. This way the child will learn that video games are not a taboo, but at the same time not become dependent on them as many children are today. With video games, as with most things in life, there must be a balancing act between reality and a virtual world.

BIG STORY for the night
Since the World Cup is coming up in matters of hours, the BIG STORY for this night is an interesting and mind rebranding article by one of our writer and also a member of YFM crew by name Ese Ojarikre, read and get rebrand......
YOUTH AND FOOTBALL
‘I’m a die-hard arsenal fan, I can forfeit anything, be it food, church, exam, party, anything, just to catch an arsenal match’. Those were the words of a very good friend of mine, he loves arsenal more than anything.
The love Nigerians youths has for football, especially club football cannot be over-emphasized. The passion can be clearly seen, even Papas are coming into the party. The English Premier League (EPL) and the Spanish League (La Liga) have occupied the minds of many, all what we think as youth is how to watch these leagues week in week out. Anywhere you see 2, 3, 4 or more persons particularly the youths arguing, shouting, sweating, they are arguing football. Regular topics are; my club is better than yours, Messi is better than Ronaldo, Mourinho is the best coach in the world, Manchester United does a lot of Match fixing (popularly known as PDP), these and more are the likely cause of any argument.
Taking myself for example, I’m die-hard Chelsea fan. I love watching Chelsea play; I just can’t wait to watch them, especially with Fernando Torres now in the team. But mine hasn’t gone to the extent that I will forfeit my exam, because a club named Chelsea has a match. But that is not to dispute the fact that, the love of Chelsea has occupied my heart.
I remember 2008 champions’ league final in Moscow. The drama that happened before and after the match that day is still fresh in my memory. A lot of crazy things happened, even some people lost their lives, some lost properties, some lost lot of money, some were injured and negative stuffs like that were not scare that day.
A man bought a cow and painted it blue. Before the match was played, the cow was killed. There was lot of meat to eat that day. In other places, music rent the air, lot of dancing and drinking, enjoyment galore. Eventually, Chelsea lost the match. It was reported that some people died.
The just concluded 2011/2012 champions league won by Chelsea, it was reported that some Chelsea fans due to happiness clashed with Security men when celebrating Chelsea’s victory, some of them got seriously injured, this happened in Ebonyi.
All these craze for football is getting out of hand; it is turning into something else. Football is a sport full of passion we all know that, but football is a game to be enjoyed and for entertainment. Fighting ourselves is something uncalled for; let’s support our clubs with all sense of humour.
