National assembly resumes today after crisis week

Nigerians will be on watch out over the resumption of the National assembly today, after a week of crisis in the house. Due to NASS crisis, House of Rep members were seen scaling one of the gates of the National Assembly last week. Following this crisis, the national assembly was shut down by Senate President David Mark, so many are keen on the happening that will follow the reopening of the assembly toady.

Different reactions by Nigerians has been on the table following the prevention of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal from gaining entrance into the House, by the Nigerian Police. Due to this case, members have gone to commence an impeachment process against the President has a means of retaliation, not regarding the statement issued by the Police on their reasons for preventing him.
It will be recalled that the Inspector of Police, Mr. Abba Suleiman ordered the withdrawal of Tambuwal’s security aides following his defection from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressive Congress (APC) recently. Mr. Tambuwal has since taken the IGP to court over the withdrawal of his aides.
