Ugandan baby tortured by Nanny

The 2-year-old Aneela Kamanzi, the Ugandan baby that attracts the minds of thousands both Nigerians and Ugandans is now recovering. She was being assaulted by the Nanny on November 15, which was really severe because she did sustain so many injuries. She was punished by the Nanny after vomiting while eating dinner.


The 22-year-old nanny, Jolly Tumuhiirwe, who was caught on camera abusing a baby after parents left for work, was arrested and charged under the Anti-torture Act.  She faces up to 15 years in jail for attempted murder and is due to appear in court for a second hearing on the 8th of December, 2014.

The act was first discovered by the father when he discovered bruises on his daughter and later viewed videos from the security cameras in the family home. The Nanny later reported the assault to police and Kamanzi was arrested after admitting he had attacked her. But after showing police the security tapes of the assault on Aneela, the charges against Kamanzi were dropped.
