No consensus candidate in APC, says Atiku

Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, former Vice President has disclosed that there would be no consensus presidential candidate for the party which Nigerians knows to be the major opposition, All Progressive Congress, APC. Aiku, who is a Presidential aspirant of the APC, made the statement in Akure, the capital of Ondo State after holding several meetings with delegates and party leaders in the state as part of hismobilization drive.


Starting from his statement, he said that “We have gone past the stage of reaching any consensus or producing a consensus candidate". Adding to this, the governor of Adamawa state saying that  ”We have gotten past the era where someone can impose any candidate on the party".
Responding to the former Vice President statement, chairman of the party in Ondo state, Kekemeke said, “What we know is that any of our party’s aspirants who emerge would be better that Goodluck Jonathan. We have not taken any position as a party on any aspirant. But we are excited at the visit of Atiku as an elder in the party".
