Amaechi backs Buhari for president 2015

Amaechi backs Buhari

As 2015 draws near, aspirants for the highest place in Nigerian politics attracts more numbers.Summing to its rank under the canopy of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), former Head of State. And Hon. Chibuike Amaechi, the Rivers State Governor declared his opinion of backing up the general, during the visit of the general at the state house.
Describing corruption has the core problem of the state, the governor satisfied that Buhari is the solution to it wholly. And also regret the illusions of Nigerians against Buhari concerning he has been tribal and religious bigot.
Quoting from his statement, Amaechi said that “The problem that you have in politics, which I have come to notice is that those who managed your image in the past did not oversee it decently. They allowed them the erroneous label of your being a religious bigot to stick. Let me take myself for example, if you accuse me once, I accuse you 20 times and then go to the media to tell them my own side of the story. Those who describe you as a religious bigot do not know you. Candidly, I used to think that way when I was in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), but all that changed when I joined the APC and had the opportunity to link up with you very closely as a politician and realized that you are truly in the genuine sense of the word”.
Due to protection concerns, the preparations for Buhari’s declaration of presidential ambition have reached feverish levels with the locale of the event (Eagles Square).

Anybody who believes he has a democratic right to exercise should be given that opportunity to exercise that right. It is left to the members of this party and the Nigerian public to make a decision. I don’t believe it is the duty of any one of us as an individual or group to decide for this party or its membership. Yes, as leaders, we have a responsibility to guide those coming behind, but the guidance should be based on this firmly rooted democratic principle. Mr. Chairman, therefore, it is my singular honor and privilege to hand over to you or your representative two receipts: one, presidential expression of interest and the second one, presidential nomination form all totaling N27.5m and I believe I am now entitled to receive my forms and then go on to the next stage.”

Fans shun Super Eagles

A cold reception by Nigerians when the Super Eagles arrived in Abuja yesterday, sticking to a surprise defeat in the African champions suffered from the hands of Sudan on Saturday.
musa
The team was being lodged at Chida International Hotel Utako, to begin preparation for another crucial match with Sudan as the return leg in Abuja. On a normal day, if the eagles are returning, the security operatives always have the challenging of controlling fans, but as of yesterday, the case was different. There was no trace of fans at the hotel yesterday, indicating the unhappiness among the fans towards the players.
Talking to one of the security operatives, he alleged that “There is no problem at all.Unlike in the past where we had problems with football loving fans that came to catch a glimpse of the players, everything is quite peaceful. I don’t think people are even aware that the Eagles have returned to Nigeria and are lodged here”.
A football fan said, “Who cares if the Eagles are lodging in Chida? After the show of shame in Sudan, who is interested in having anything to do with them? Left for me alone, they can stay here for 100 years, I don’t care”. Thus many other thought came in from fans after the disappointment, while super eagles are hoping to turn the situation around on Wednesday.

If he now says he was not on the plane, let the government come out and tell Nigerians who and who was on it”. This scandal must be reviewed and dealt with that is what the opposition party need from this government.

Highlights from the forth-coming edition, Take a Look

This one is a special an interesting article, it deals with your future and how to create it for now. It was written by one of our inspiring crew members with vast knowledge about talent development. Take your time, chill and enjoy a glance of it.....

TALENTS DBP (Discovering, Building, Professionalizing in-built Talents)

I can consider the ignorance of in-built talents to an Aardvark, which is there and not recognized. The verity of this statement may have taken you a-backed, but that is the truth. Talent is an important ingredient of youth development has been considered as if when someone is babbling about something. When you run-down this article, you will see reasons why you need to take hold of talent as a youth. What is Talent?
According to the Dictionary, Talent is simply someone who has a natural ability to be good at something, especially without been taught. However, as a person you have this phenomenon, the default is how to discover and make good use of it.

HOW TO DISCOVER TALENTS

This article’s subject matter is divided into three categories, but we will have to start our discussion on the primary factor of talent (i.e. how to discover this embedded talent). However, a youth need to know how to discover his/her talent because you can only work on what you know. The following steps will help you to discover it.

  • Learn to realize those things you do when you are not conscious of them. You may say “what do I mean?” There are some things you do, and you take unimportant. You don’t put them into consideration, but you love doing them (i.e. you have the passion for them).
  • The next step to take is to discover the real one. Remember, Gold how precious it is, it is found in a mix-up of different peripherals. In same sense, this talent is in a mix-up; all you do is be sensitive enough to the one you do always and love to do often. This might be the talent you are looking for. For instance, when you love to sing almost every time, it becomes your habit. This might be the talent you are looking for.

There are a lot to learn about your talents, you get it in full in the forth coming edition of YOUTH FOCUS. For advert placement click here......

However, an exciting thing about this new innovation from google is that student doesn’t have to pay for the storage increase.
The new initiative includes unlimited storage that allows for the uploading of individual files up to a colossal five terabytes. That’s more than 5,000 GB for one file. And also the Vault will be available for Students, which will keep an eye on the activities on each file.
Quoting from the post by Google, it reads that “every file uploaded to Google Drive is encrypted, not only from your device to Google and in transit between Google data centers, but also at rest on Google servers. As always, the data that schools and students put into our systems is theirs”.
However, with this new innovation it makes collaborations on projects, assignments and so on easy to achieve among and even their tutors.

Obasanjo not involved in the anointing…….. Northern youths

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo knew nothing about the selecting of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar or the Kano State governor, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso by the Northern Youth Leaders Forum, which is Chairman by Comrade Elliot Afiyo. He said this yesterday, making claims that they have shortlisted these two as their Northern presidential candidate.
It was gathered that the political committee of the NYLF had submitted these names to get the body’s support. And the National Executive Council, NEC, of the Northern youth body in agreement with thee list also wants power to get back to the north.

Quoting from the National president, he said “The fact remains that Baba Obasanjo strongly believes in the forum, having got similar nod in 2003 and 2007 for our late Yar’adua. But, he is not part of any rumoured plan to favour either of the two. The forum with a total of 152 affiliated youth groups in the region will democratically choose their Presidential candidate irrespective of the party he comes from. That is why the first attempt was cancelled because it was discovered that some politicians and former   ministers infiltrated the delegates. But, this was misconstrued to mean that the leadership of the forum is supporting one out of the two. We have never been noted for this and we shall continue to keep our integrity. We shall elect one who shall get the nod of the over 60 million eligible youth and women voters in the North.”
