I borrowed from the bank.... Gen. Muhammadu Buhari

Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, Former military Head of State, who is aspiring for the post of the president come 2015 general elections, has come under scrutiny by so many. Critics argued the fact that where did he got the money tagged by the All Progressives Congress, APC on the presidential nomination form, worth 27 million Naira. Clearing the air, he said yesterday that he took a loan from the bank to go for this coming election.Which he disclosed this at the APC national headquarters yesterday in Abuja.

He explicated that the presidential expression of interest form was N2.5m while the presidential nomination form was N25.5m, making a total of N27.5m. Quoting from his assertion, he averred that “You could recall in the entire contest, I have forever attempted to personally pay for the nomination form at least. But N27.5m is not diminished. Thank God, I have a personal relationship with the president of my bank. I phoned him and told him that the phases are coming and thus, whether my accounts are in crimson or green or black, you must honor this, otherwise, I will miss the nomination”.
Whether it clears the air or not, the former military Head of State, is now in contention for the number one citizen of Nigeria come 2015, starting with the party’s primaries.
