On September 30th, Google announced the introduction of unlimited storage for students’ in-order to enhance files and document storage and also administrative controls to its Apps. However, an exciting thing about this new innovation from google is that student doesn’t have to pay for the storage increase.
The new initiative includes unlimited storage that allows for the uploading of individual files up to a colossal five terabytes. That’s more than 5,000 GB for one file. And also the Vault will be available for Students, which will keep an eye on the activities on each file.
Quoting from the post by Google, it reads that “every file uploaded to Google Drive is encrypted, not only from your device to Google and in transit between Google data centers, but also at rest on Google servers. As always, the data that schools and students put into our systems is theirs”.
However, with this new innovation it makes collaborations on projects, assignments and so on easy to achieve among and even their tutors.
